By far one of the most anticipated events for the D.A.R.T. team is the Persian New Year… Not only are the people FANTASTIC examples of the generosity of the Iranian community, but by far this is one of the BEST eating events in all of Southern California.
The big event, which was held on March 31st, signifies the first day of spring and the first day of the Iranian calendar. Conejo Creek Park (North) was reserved for the entire event, and I was hard pressed to find anyone that was not having fun by visiting with family, playing games, dancing with the live band and of course the fabulous food.
For the D.A.R.T. team, we were busy tending to everything from scrapes and bruises to more serious events that required more significant medical care.
Mark this occasion on your calendars for next year, as it is truly a festival NOT to be missed.
