DART’s goal is to have knowledgeable members trained in earthquake preparedness, basic first aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, basic disaster psychology, urban search and rescue (USAR), fire suppression techniques, hazardous material awareness, emergency radio communications, traffic control techniques and safety assessment. Other areas, including technology, publicity, and community awareness are also necessary to sustain this crucial program. DART provides FREE professional training for new members in all vital functions.
