Virtual Wildfire Preparedness Course

Be Prepared for Wildfire Training Course. The Central Ventura County Fire Safe Council is hosting a free training course, “Be Prepared for Wildfire” to help Ventura County residents better prepare their homes, neighborhoods and communities to withstand the threat of wildland fires. The course will be presented and facilitated by experienced Wildland Urban Interface fire specialists, streaming live through the internet for two evening sessions. Participants will then be invited to work with the instructors, in person, to conduct their own home ignition zone inspections. What? Be Prepared for Wildfire Training – This interactive course is designed to educate homeowners and others on how to make their property as safe as possible in the event of a wildfire, including defensible space planning and structure risk assessment. Where? Virtual workshops – Online, Thursday, August 13 & 20, 6-8pm *Second Workshop builds on the first.
